Flexibility in installation location, along with the ability to quickly install or expand charging, is key when designing EV infrastructure for car parking buildings.

A common challenge in apartment blocks and parking buildings is finding space and delivering power to each bay without complex switchboards or major disruption. Our IPC cable tray system removes this challenge. A backbone cable is installed along the cable tray above EV-ready car parks, allowing each bay to be connected directly using insulation piercing connectors (IPCs).

Designed to mount directly to the cable tray, these EV charging solutions are ideal for tight spaces. Chargers can be positioned in the optimal location for each vehicle, while power is taken locally from the backbone cable—minimising cable runs, installation time, and cost.

This approach enables a fair and equitable cost per car park, with installations completed without disruption to neighbouring bays. Once the backbone cable, cable tray, and load management are in place, individual car park owners can add a Wallbox charger at any time with minimal impact on others.
